Welcome to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) where you will receive a warm welcome by a polite staff of Mothercity Safaris. Private transfer to your hotel in Moshi, relax and have a pre-climb briefing which will discuss the safety measures, altitude acclimatization and equipment checks.

Eat breakfast and then drive to Londorossi Gate and register and then drive to Lemosho trailhead. Start your adventure with your hike into a green rainforest where you will see black-and-white colobus monkeys and other tropical birds. Dinner and Overnight at Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp.

Today will bring you out of the wood into the zone of the heather and the moorland. Climb along volcanic ridges, which offer the magnificent scene of Shira Ridge and then slightly descend to the Shira Plateau, which is one of the most iconic sites of the mountain, Kilimanjaro.

An easy trail all through the Shira Plateau gives time to acclimatize. The pathway has panoramic views of Mount Meru and western breach of Kilimanjaro. You will get to Shira 2 Camp early in time and rest and have time to explore the area.

Continue to be steady towards Lava Tower which is a volcanic rock formation that is located at an elevation of 4600m where a lunch break and acclimatization will be undertaken. Still down into Barranco Valley, surrounded by the sheer cliffs and vast groundsels. This climb-high, sleep-low system improves the acclimatization process in the body.

Start the day by crossing the famous Barranco Wall which is a fascinating non technical climb presenting spectacular views.
Go through valleys and ridges to arrive at Karanga Camp the final acclimatization point before the peak attempt.

Accommodation: Karanga Camp

Climb after climbing rocky paths to reach the summit base camp which is Barafu Camp. Watch panoramic sceneries of Mawenzi Peak and get ready to climb Uhuru Peak during the midnight. The supper will be partaken very early and then rest.

The summit attempt should commence around midnight, and walk in the twilight under the stars. Reach Stella point (5739m) when the sun rises and then go further to Uhuru Peak, the highest point of Africa. Congatulate the accomplishment and record memories and then continue to descend to Mweka Camp through Barafu.

Step down into the green rainforest to the Mweka Gate where the Kilimanjaro summit certificate is to be given. Move on to Moshi and spend the night quietly and an evening to celebrate.
